If one things for certain, its that nothing is ever certain when it comes to Oklahoma weather. Two weeks ago, you could have fried eggs outside on the front porch. Now, it's apparantly monsoon season with rain in the forecast every day this week!
Just want to take a minute and let you know how production is going with "In The Garden"! As it stands now, we have complete 8 programs for the year, and have 5 left to go for the season. Thanks to everyone who's been part of this great season so far. Still to come by the way are shows about vegetable canning, water techniques, butterfly gardens, tree planting, farmer's markets, some tasty new recipes, and much more! Thanks for watching and as always, have a wonderful gardening day!

Roses Are Red...and yellow....and pink....
Greetings to all! I hope your enjoying this great Oklahoma heat (yes sarcasm does abound)! I also hope you've been following this season of "In The Garden". Currently on the show, Tamra is showing viewers how you can take clippings from rose bushes you already have and start new plantings, also known as propagating! Give us your feedback and if you haven't already, make sure to join us on Facebook!

Finally! Now This Is More Like It!
68 Degrees and we couldn't be happier. Hi, Brady the director here! We spent allot of time this past weekend taping several segments for season 2. Fortunetly, the weather was beautiful and we wer able to get ALLOT done! I must say, I'm very impressed with how things are coming along. I've been working on the show today and it really does look great. I hope your all looking forward to this season as much as I am! Well, I'd better get back to editing. As always, thanks for watching. It makes what I do worth it!

Cold Weather = Cold Production Day!
We officially began filming the 2010 season on February 12 and are already experiencing the challenges of filming outdoors--THE WEATHER! What started out a calm and sunny morning, didn't last. As I learned last year, shooting a television show is a lot about standing around and waiting. Put that outdoors in February, take away the sun and add a little breeze--and it doesn't take long to get chilled; really chilled. But we love the show and are willing to make a few sacrifices along the way. Why did we start so early in the season you may ask? Well, when working with volunteers, you quickly learn that no matter how dedicated they are--they have other lives--other responsibilities and commitments besides working on these shows. So trying to find "are you available?" time, coordinating talent schedules, checking production crew availability (these too are volunteers), and it quickly becomes a scheduling nightmare. So, we start early to capture an episode or two and hope the viewing audience will bear with us in these early episodes where our noses are red, hands in our pockets and forgive any signs of discomfort. By the way Brady, where was the hot chocolate?--Merry, Associate Producer and master gardener
